The original company called Global Communications was established in 1992 and became the leading company repairing Hitachi PBX equipment in the country.     Global Communications was acquired by current owners in 1999 and the company was renamed Global Telecom Group, Inc. 

New owners expanded the business immediately and added Buying/Selling of Hitachi PBX equipment, NEC PBX product line, and small Key Phone Systems to the business. 

Currently, Global Telecom Group, Inc. is geared to provide a host of services such as Electronic Diagnostic and Repairs, Low Volume Electronic Assembly, Outside and Inside Cabling, Wire line and Wireless Switching, Base Station Configuration and Maintenance, De-Installation Services, In-Building Wireless Design and Installation, and VSAT Network Design and Installation.

Global Telecom Group, Inc. became an SBA approved/certified 8a (Small Disadvantaged Minority Owned Company) in 2003 and became a member of Georgia Minority Suppliers Diversity Council in 2004.
